How to Qualify for a Marijuana Card

You must be diagnosed with at least one of the following conditions to qualify to receive marijuana or a marijuana delivery device:
  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
  • Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Crohn disease
  • Parkinson disease
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Medical conditions of the same kind or class as or comparable to those enumerated above (#1-10)
  • A terminal condition diagnosed by a physician other than the qualified physician issuing the physician certification *
  • Chronic nonmalignant pain *

* “Terminal condition” means a progressive disease or medical or surgical condition that causes significant functional impairment, is not considered by a treating physician to be reversible without the administration of life-sustaining procedures, and will result in death within one year after diagnosis if the condi¬tion runs its normal course.

* “Chronic non-malignant pain” means pain that is caused by a qualifying medical condition or that originates from a qualifying medical condition and persists beyond the usual course of that qualifying medical condition.

Meet a qualified MD for a medical exam and medical history review

If you qualify for medical marijuana, your MD will register you with the Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR)

Receive your medical marijuana card by registering on the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana (OMMU) website. Cannabis Specialty Group staff will provide you with helpful instructions at your visit!

Fill your order at one of the licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC). We can help you find a convenient location!

How Much Does it Cost to Get a Marijuana Card?

  • Cannabis Specialty Group new patient appointments cost $175 (this is one of the most competitive rates in Orlando)
  • Cannabis Specialty Group renewal appointments cost $100 (again, one of the most competitive rates in Orlando). Note: Florida law requires patients to complete a renewal appointment every 210 days
  • Also note: The Florida Department of Health charges a separate $75 fee when you request your physical medical marijuana card.
